Ashley Marti food writer and stylist of the popular blog, Local Haven will be joining us for a one-day workshop at Elder Hall! Saturday, March 7th and Sunday, March 8th 9am-1pm, She’ll be focusing on teaching storytelling through food, styling and photography. Ashley will discuss her creative process on shooting in natural daylight, incorporating props, and composition. You’ll watch and listen as Ashley works a shoot from start to finish and then style your own photoshoot with guidance from Ashley on food styling techniques and prop placement. At the end of class each of your curated frames will be shot by Ashley. The workshop will end with a seasonal meal prepared by Jason French, Chef & Owner of Ned Ludd & Elder Hall. Each student will receive hi resolution images of their work as well as a Mazama mug and Kiriko linen! No camera necessary but feel free to bring your own if you want.
