Join Elder Hall for an evening of fun story telling, compelling dialogue and conviviality! Our first Suppenacht or "Soup Night" will welcome local chef and restauranteur John Gorham. John made a name for himself upon his arrival from the Bay Area and Eugene in 2001. He developed several Portland institutions before opening the renowned restaurants, Toro BravoTasty & Sons, Tasty & Alder and the Mediterranean Exploration Co. He's also published a cookbook and is in the midst of opening yet another project. John will share his experiences and opinions on a wide range of culinarily inclined topics. This gathering is a must for any industry professional looking to open their own restaurant, or patron, who wants a behind the scenes look at what it takes to be successful in the restaurant world. Host Jason French will moderate and offer a simple repast of soup, bread, water and wine. Thursday, March 5th 6:30pm $25. Reserve your seat by emailing (please include phone number) or pay at the door but all seats are first come first served.  Limited to 30 seats.  2 seats left!
